Cod Red in Bucharest and Cluj as the infection rate exceeds 3 per 1000 inhabitants

The local authorities have decided to implement a series of new restrictions for stopping the COVID-19 pandemic:

• Protective mask, covering nose and mouth, mandatory for all persons older than 5 years in all public locations (both indoor and outdoor)
• Indoor activity of restaurants and cafes is banned, with the exception of serving own customers in hotels, pensions and other accomodation units.
• The outdoor activity of restaurants and cafes is allowed with the requirement of keeping a distance of 2 meters between tables and maximum of 6 persons at one table.
• Bars, clubs and discos are closed.
• Activity of casinos, cinemas, theaters and concert halls is also forbidden.
• Schools are closed for 14 days, all classes will take place online. 

For Bucharest, the restrictions are already in effect as of today, while in Cluj these will come into force starting with Thursday, October 22.
